Superheroes, anime characters, horror favorites and a few unexpected encounters filled the frame on the first day of New York Comic Con.
These portraits offer a small look at the cosplay we photographed at the Javits Center on Thursday, October 8. From a Mario cosplayer lifting a question block to Ryu and Juri facing off, attendees brought their characters into the convention halls through costumes, props and poses.
