Cosplay, Community, and Creativity: ConnectiCon 2025 Shines in Hartford

ConnectiCon returned to the Connecticut Convention Center in, July , 2025, and proved once again why it’s one of the most beloved conventions on the East Coast.

We were only there for a single day this time—but wow, what a day it was.

Cosplay on Another Level

The creativity and craftsmanship on display were absolutely breathtaking. Cosplayers from across genres brought their A-game—transforming into everything from classic anime icons and DC/Marvel superheroes to obscure characters, original designs, and hilariously imaginative mashups. Whether it was hand-forged Mandalorian armor, elaborate ballgowns, or adorable Pokémon fusions, every costume told a story.

What struck us most wasn’t just the skill—it was the kindness. Every cosplayer we met was welcoming, patient with photo requests, and excited to talk about their builds. The community here is as colorful as the costumes, and the positive energy was impossible to miss.

Vendors and Artists That Blew Us Away

The vendor hall and artist alley were stacked with talent. From handmade plushies and enamel pins to prints, comics, original sculptures, and fan art that stopped us in our tracks—it was impossible not to spend money. We discovered new creators, caught up with returning favorites, and watched fans excitedly commission work or pick up that one perfect piece to complete their collection.

The layout was clean, the aisles never felt too cramped, and everything was easy to find—huge props to the organizers for making the experience accessible and smooth.

A Convention That Feels Like Home

It’s rare to find a con that captures such a great balance of chaos and calm. ConnectiCon was well-managed and well-paced. Panels started on time, staff were helpful and relaxed, and even in the hustle of midday crowds, there was a sense of order and intention. Outside, spontaneous photoshoots and dance-offs kept the energy going, while inside, you could easily find a quiet spot to chill and recharge.

Whether you were there for cosplay, gaming, anime, sci-fi, or just to soak up the vibes—there was something for everyone.

See You Next Year—For More Than Just a Day

We’re already counting down to ConnectiCon 2026—and this time, we’re staying the whole weekend. One day wasn’t nearly enough to take it all in. We missed panels we wanted to catch, and there were still artists we didn’t get to meet. But what we did experience was unforgettable.

To all the cosplayers, creators, vendors, and volunteers: thank you. Your talent, heart, and hospitality made this an unforgettable con. And to the ConnectiCon team—stellar job. From one photographer to the entire community: we see you, we appreciate you, and we’ll be back.

Stay magical,
