BROOKLYN, NY — April 27, 2025
Over 27,000 runners laced up and stormed the streets of Brooklyn on Sunday for the highly anticipated Brooklyn Half Marathon 2025, making it one of the largest road races in the nation.
From elite competitors to first-time half-marathoners, the energy was electric. Many ran in support of charities or to achieve personal milestones, while others simply embraced the shared joy of running. The crowd along the course was just as vibrant, with cheer squads, live music, and clever signage (“Run if you think Timothée Chalamet is hot!”) fueling the runners every step of the way.
Notable along the route were moments of pure joy and resilience—runners in matching gear supporting each other stride for stride, others making heart hands at photographers, and some just soaking in the Brooklyn spring air. From shirtless sprints to coordinated team runs, the diversity in style and approach reflected the spirit of the borough itself.
